Brighter Futures for Children is seeking passionate, caring, and dedicated Social / Residential Care Workers to join our growing residential childcare team across various locations throughout Co. Donegal.
We are currently recruiting for both Full-Time Permanent and Relief positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to children and young people.
- Promote physical, emotional, educational and social wellbeing.
- Support daily living, independence and life skills development.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Work collaboratively with families and professionals.
- Promote safeguarding and child welfare at all times.
- Participate in training, supervision and shift work.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, Social Work, Psychology, Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy, Counselling/Psychotherapy, Addiction Counselling, Youth and Community Work, Social Science/Social Studies, Family Support, Teaching, Nursing Studies, Disability Studies, Applied Behavioural Analysis, Early Years Care (where applicable), Applied Policing, Higher Certificate in Custodial Care or equivalent recognised qualification.
- OR CORU registered Social Care Workers who do not hold a recognised core qualification may be considered in accordance with current regulatory requirements.
- Eligibility for CORU registration or current registration where applicable.
- Knowledge of Children First, Child Care legislation and National Standards.
- Full clean driving licence and successful Garda Vetting.
Desirable Criteria
- Minimum one year relevant experience.

- Starting salary of €37,100 per annum with annual incremental increases.
- Occasional overtime and extra shifts may be available to support service delivery, subject to staffing requirements and Working Time Regulations.
