Part-Time Food & Beverage Supervisor
Errigal Country House Hotel – Cootehill, Co. Cavan
We are looking for an experienced, energetic and hands-on Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team at the Errigal Country House Hotel.
This is a part-time position, primarily covering weekends and busy periods, and would suit someone with strong experience in the food and beverage/hospitality industry who is confident taking responsibility for a busy operation.
We are looking for someone who is very hands-on and happy to work alongside the team while also providing leadership and direction. The successful candidate must be capable of overseeing our bars and restaurants, managing staff and ensuring excellent standards of service throughout their shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operation of our bars and restaurants.
- Lead and manage Food & Beverage staff while on duty.
- Work hands-on alongside the team during busy service periods.
- Ensure excellent standards of customer service at all times.
- Organise staff and delegate duties effectively throughout each shift.
- Oversee the setup and smooth running of restaurant and bar service.
- Ensure staff are properly presented, prepared and working efficiently.
- Deal professionally with guest requests, queries or complaints.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen, reception and management teams.
- Assist with functions, weddings and other busy hotel events when required.
- Ensure opening, closing, cleaning and cash-handling procedures are completed correctly.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation throughout all Food & Beverage areas.
- Help train, support and motivate members of the F&B team.
What We Are Looking For
The successful candidate must:
- Have strong previous experience within the Food & Beverage or hospitality sector.
- Have previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Be confident managing both bar and restaurant operations.
- Be a hands-on supervisor who leads by example.
- Be comfortable managing and directing a team.
- Have a strong work ethic and excellent timekeeping.
- Be energetic, organised and able to work well under pressure.
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Be capable of making decisions and solving problems during busy services.
- Have high standards and a strong eye for detail.
- Be available to work weekends, as this will make up the majority of the position.
Hours
This is a part-time position, with the majority of hours being at weekends and during busy periods within the hotel.
Flexibility for additional hours during weddings, functions, holidays and particularly busy periods would be an advantage.
Experience
Previous Food & Beverage experience is essential for this position.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor, Restaurant Supervisor, Bar Supervisor, Senior F&B Assistant or similar hospitality role.
