About the Role
We are looking for a BIM Manager to lead our BIM team and drive the successful delivery of coordinated digital design solutions across complex mechanical building services projects. This role will play a critical part in ensuring models, drawings, and project deliverables are developed to the highest standards while supporting project teams throughout the design and construction lifecycle.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, manage BIM processes, and collaborate with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery. This role is based in Dublin and will be an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the BIM team across multiple projects.
Oversee the development of coordinated 3D mechanical models using base design information, P&IDs, scans, and point cloud data.
Manage drawing registers, model standards, and document control processes.
Produce and review general arrangement drawings, detailing sheets, and prefabrication isometrics.
Coordinate the design and detailing of mechanical service support systems.
Ensure all BIM deliverables are completed in line with project schedules and client requirements.
Manage BIM stage-gate milestones and monitor progress against agreed programmes.
Resolve design, coordination, and modelling challenges throughout project delivery.
Attend and contribute to client, design, coordination, and site meetings.
Organise and lead coordination meetings with project stakeholders and trade partners.
Support the continuous improvement of BIM protocols, workflows, standards, and systems.
Mentor, train, and develop BIM team members while supporting onboarding programmes.
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing support to team development.
Ensure seamless integration of discipline models into federated project models.
Prepare progress updates, schedule reports, and technical reports for senior management.
Manage clash detection and coordination activities across all building services systems.
Identify, track, and manage project variations through to commercial resolution.
Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, BIM standards, and company processes.
Complete all administration and reporting requirements associated with the role.
Qualifications
Degree or qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, BIM, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in a BIM Manager, BIM Lead, or Senior BIM Coordinator position.
Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM coordination tools.
Strong understanding of mechanical building services design and construction processes.
Experience managing BIM teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project stakeholders.
Knowledge of BIM standards, information management, QA/QC processes, and document control.
Strong problem-solving, organisational, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities with the capability to influence and develop teams.
Experience delivering data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects would be advantageous.
