Clongowes Wood College S.J. is one of Irelands oldest and most successful 7-day boarding schools for boys. We are currently inviting applications for the following role.
Maintenance Technician (Electrical)
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the role of maintenance technician (Electrical) is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the school's buildings, facilities, plant, and equipment. The role focuses on electrical maintenance while also supporting general building maintenance activities across the boarding school campus.
The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. He/she will diagnose and repair electrical faults, conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical installations and assist with electrical upgrades, installations and refurbishments. In addition, the maintenance technician will also undertake minor repairs and maintenance across the school estate including plumbing, carpentry, painting and/or general repairs as required. The maintenance technician (electrical ) will also be responsible for emergency call out on a rotational basis.
Candidates should hold a recognised Electrical Trade Qualification and have a full clean driving licence. A mminimum of 3 years' experience in electrical maintenance within commercial, educational, healthcare, hospitality, or similar environments desirable.
