Job Summary:
The successful candidate will carry out general maintenance and repair works across residential and commercial properties. Duties will include minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, basic repairs, property inspections, and responding to maintenance requests. Fluent in English. The candidate should have relevant maintenance experience, good problem-solving skills, a full driving licence and the ability to work independently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on buildings, equipment, and facilities
- Handle minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting repairs
- Inspect properties and identify maintenance issues
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Install fixtures, shelves, appliances, and other fittings as needed
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
- Ensure all work is completed safely and according to regulations
- Coordinate with contractors or suppliers when necessary
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce future issues
- Keep records of completed work and materials used
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and time-management skills
