Clear Sky Energy is a solar PV installation company based in the Midlands. We install domestic and commercial solar PV, battery storage and hot water systems, and we’re an SEAI-registered installer. The roof work is the first stage of every job we do — a clean, watertight install is what the whole system sits on.
The role
We’re looking for an experienced roofer to carry out the mounting side of our solar installations. You’ll be:
- Stripping and reinstating slate, tile and metal roof coverings around array areas
- Fitting roof hooks, brackets and rail mounting systems to manufacturer spec
- Mounting PV panels and securing to rail
- Weatherproofing all penetrations — flashings, lead work, cable entry points
- Working with flat roof ballast and A-frame systems on commercial jobs
- Erecting and working safely from roof ladders, staging and scaffold
- Leaving every roof watertight and tidy, with any defects flagged before the electrician attends
What you’ll need
- Time-served roofing experience, or QQI Level 6 Roofing/Slating & Tiling
- Confident on slate, tile and trapezoidal metal roofs
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification
- Working at Heights and harness/fall arrest training
- Full clean driving licence
- Solar mounting experience an advantage — but we’ll train the right roofer
Pay: €50,000.00-€100,000.00 per year
