We are an established bakery based in Limerick, proud to supply fresh goods daily to communities across the Southeast. We are currently seeking a dependable, punctual Van Driver to join our night logistics team. Operating on a clear, consistent 2-night routine (Monday, Wednesday), this role is perfect for someone looking for a steady income with an excellent work-life balance.
The Role
Starting midnight at our bakery in Limerick, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of fresh bread to retail shops and grocery outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load & Secure: Efficiently load bakery dispatch crates into the delivery van, ensuring product count accuracy and secure transit setup.
- Regional Routing: Navigate routes from Limerick out to designated retail drops across the Waterford, Kilkenny, and Carlow areas.
- Timely Drop-Offs: Ensure fresh bread is delivered safely to shop collection points before stores open for morning trading.
- Vehicle Care: Conduct routine pre-drive vehicle safety checks and keep the company van clean and organized.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional multi-drop van driving experience in Ireland.
- Licence: Full, clean Irish / EU Category B (Car/Van) Driving Licence.
- Aptitude: A reliable, self-motivated individual who thrives working independently during night hours.
- Physical Capability: Able to handle physical manual tasks, including loading and moving bakery product crates.
- Punctuality: Exceptional timekeeping skills are a must to ensure shops are stocked on time.
