PC Installation & Deployment Engineer

Gearoid O Leary Computer Services is a growing IT support and managed services provider supporting businesses throughout Cork and the surrounding areas. We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused PC Installation & Deployment Engineer to join our team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment, installation, configuration, and support of PCs, laptops, and related IT equipment at customer sites. This role primeraly involves both workshop preparation and onsite customer installations.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure Windows 11 laptops and desktops
- Perform PC and laptop replacements, upgrades, and migrations
- Transfer user profiles, emails, files, and settings to new devices
- Configure Microsoft 365 applications and user accounts
- Deploy and configure printers and peripheral devices
- Install and troubleshoot wired and wireless network connections
- Carry out hardware diagnostics and repairs
- Document installations and maintain deployment records
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers
- Ensure installations are completed to a high professional standard
Essential Requirements
- Experience installing and supporting Windows 11 PCs
- (Proven past experience in this role is a deal breaker requirement)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full clean driving licence
- Eligible to work in Ireland
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
- Knowledge of networking, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity
- Experience with laptop and desktop hardware repairs
- Familiarity with remote support tools such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk
- Experience working in an MSP or IT support environment
