We are a busy, modern workshop located in Naas, Co. Kildare. We are looking for an ambitious, hardworking 3rd Year Apprentice Motor Mechanic to join our growing team. Because you are in your third year, you will be given immediate hands-on experience with advanced vehicle diagnostics, timing belts, electronic tracking, and major mechanical servicing under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full safety vehicle servicing and Pre-NCT checks.
- Carry out mechanical repairs on steering, suspension, gearboxes, and clutches.
- Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical faults using OBD diagnostic scanners.
- Replace complex components like water pumps, timing chains, and timing belts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment.
- Replace FAST FIT parts like tyres, bulbs, wipers etc.
Requirements:
- Must be a registered SOLAS apprentice currently tracking into or completing Year 3 (Phase 5/6).
- Strong basic mechanical knowledge and tool proficiency.
- Punctual, eager to learn, and capable of working on your own initiative.
- Full clean Irish driving licence and over 25 years for insurance - (highly preferred).
