Job Description:
Intel Ireland is a high-volume manufacturing memory fab working on leading-edge products
Operate and maintain water systems including ultrapure water (UPW)
Own safety, quality, cost-effective output, environmental compliance, capacity management, forecasting, sampling, and analysis of these water systems
Troubleshoot industrial water and chemical-related issues that can impact water quality across any water systems including reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange, ultrafiltration, UV, wastewater, and heat exchangers
Serve as a water analysis/sampling subject matter expert and technical expert to facilities systems engineers and operators
Provide expert interpretation of analytical instruments to determine quality and health of water including ion chromatography, differential microbial analysis (DMA), and particle size and count
Manage water laboratories and technicians, ensure calibration of equipment is up to date, and manage lab inventory and consumables
Work and coordinate with water and third-party analytical laboratories to sample, ship, and obtain results of collected samples
Prepare technical reports to present to a wide array of audiences both technical and nontechnical about the initiatives and performance of the water treatment division
Manage sampling and analysis budget and optimize for cost savings and avoidance opportunities
Implement novel analysis and new methods to improve result accuracy, turnaround times, and cost
Write and review standard operating procedures relating to water sampling and analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical methods
3+ years working experience in similar field/industries preferred
Strong experience or equivalent of UPW and IWS system experience preferred
Demonstrated application of engineering principles and technical problem-solving Ability to work well with stakeholders and other team members to ensure that high-level and detailed-level requirements meet expectations
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and in a team environment
Able to communicate in a clear and concise manner at various audience levels
Good English proficiency
