Alliance Medical are delighted to announce we are now hiring a Production Radiochemist for our Radiopharmacy Unit in West Co. Dublin.
Alliance Medical Radiopharmacy is establishing a new, state-of-the-art radiopharmaceutical production facility in Dublin, designed to provide PET radiotracers to scanning centres across the island of Ireland. This exciting development supports Alliance Medical's vision to place Ireland at the forefront of Radiopharmacy, enhancing access to high-quality PET imaging and contributing to improved outcomes for patients. We are now seeking committed and motivated individuals to join our growing production team. Successful candidates will play an important role in the start-up, operation, and continued development of this new facility, supporting the delivery of safe, reliable, and high-quality radiopharmaceutical services.
This role offers a full time permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week.
Duties to Include:

Participation in out-of-hours, early morning, weekend or shift work as required by radiopharmaceutical production schedules, typically starting at 3am.
- Support the setting up of the new radiopharmaceutical production unit, including production areas, cleanrooms, hot cells, isolators, synthesis modules, dispensers and associated equipment.
- Assist with commissioning, qualification and validation activities for production equipment, utilities, facilities and processes.
- Routine production of radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with approved SOPs, GMP regulations, marketing authorization and radiation safety requirements.
- Completion of associated batch records and production logs to a high standard.
- Identifying and reporting deviations, non-conformances, equipment issues and potential quality risks.
- Implementing corrective and preventative measures.

Develop new standard operating procedures.

Coordination with QC and QA teams for batch release activities.
- Supporting audits, inspections and regulatory interactions.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the facility and engage in project work outside of routine operations.
- Operation of automated synthesis modules, dispensing systems, hot cells, isolators and associated production equipment.
- Participate in required training and initiate continuous professional development.

Support the implementation of radiation protection and safety procedures within the facility.

Be responsible for radiation safety responsibilities as required.

Participate in weekly and monthly staff meetings, compile minutes and agendas as needed.
Skills/Key Competencies & Qualifications:
-
A recognized qualification/degree in natural sciences or human/veterinary medicine.

Experience in radiopharmaceutical production, aseptic manufacturing, GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing or a similar regulated environment.
- Experience preparing and reviewing GMP documentation
- A good understanding of GMP and quality compliance would be highly desirable.
- Ability to work accurately and demonstrate problem solving skills under time pressure.
- Technically competent: high technical skill level.

Familiarity with radiation protection requirements and safe handling of radioactive materials would be desirable.
