We are delighted to be partnering with a leading healthcare organisation to recruit a Senior Dietitian into a unique and highly autonomous position within a specialist healthcare setting.
This is not a traditional Dietitian role.
Rather than joining an established department, you'll have the opportunity to shape and develop the dietetic service, working closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver specialist nutritional support across a range of mental health services, with a focus on eating disorders.
For an experienced Dietitian looking to step into a more influential position and truly make their mark, opportunities like this don't come around very often.
The Opportunity
You will work as the lead Dietitian across the service, partnering closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, nursing teams and specialist eating disorder clinicians.
The role combines direct clinical work with service development, giving you the opportunity to influence how dietetic support is delivered across the organisation.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Specialist nutritional assessments and interventions
- Supporting adults and adolescents experiencing eating disorders
- Working directly with multidisciplinary teams and consultants
- Developing therapeutic nutrition programmes
- Delivering education and training to clinical teams
- Supporting service development and quality improvement initiatives
- Contributing to the future design and expansion of dietetic services
About You
We're keen to speak with Dietitians who bring:
- CORU registration
- Minimum 3–4 years post-qualification clinical experience
- Experience working within a hospital setting
- Exposure to mental health services
- Strong experience supporting patients with eating disorders
- Experience managing complex nutritional assessments and interventions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence working autonomously and making independent clinical decisions
Most importantly, you'll be someone who is comfortable working alongside experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams, able to challenge professionally when required, and confident standing over your clinical recommendations.
Why Apply?
- Rare standalone specialist Senior Dietitian role
- Significant autonomy and ownership
- Opportunity to shape and develop the service
- Specialist eating disorders caseload
- Work alongside experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams
- Genuine opportunity to influence clinical practice and patient outcomes
- Highly visible role within a respected healthcare organisation
This role would particularly suit a Senior Dietitian who has developed strong clinical expertise within a larger team environment and is now looking for an opportunity to take ownership, drive improvements and help shape the future of a specialist service.
