We are currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Early Years Educator to join our friendly childcare team in Baldoyle, Dublin.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, has a positive and energetic personality, and is passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a nurturing environment.
You will be part of a supportive team delivering high-quality childcare and early education while building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities Childcare & Early Years Education
- Provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children
- Support children's learning and development in line with Aistear and Síolta frameworks
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities and curriculum-based learning experiences
- Encourage creativity, curiosity and social development through play-based learning
- Support children with daily routines including meals, rest time and outdoor play
Daily Duties
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and wellbeing
- Prepare and organise educational activities and learning materials
- Maintain a clean, organised and child-friendly classroom environment
- Complete daily observations and development records where required
- Follow all health, safety and childcare regulations
Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with other educators and management
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to curriculum planning
- Support a positive and inclusive environment for children and staff
Requirements
- Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent)
- Experience working with young children in a childcare or early years setting preferred
- Knowledge of Aistear and Síolta desirable
- Caring, patient and enthusiastic personality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to be flexible within operational hours
Working Hours
The crèche operates between:
7:45am – 6:00pm
Successful candidates must be flexible to work within these hours on a rota basis.
Location & Transport
Our service is located in Baldoyle, Dublin, and is accessible by public transport:
- Bus 15 towards Clongriffin – approximately 10 minute walk from Clongriffin train station
- Bus H1 – stop near Beshoff Motors followed by a short walk through the housing estate
- DART / Train – Clongriffin Station, approximately 10 minute walk
