We are now seeking an organised, proactive and people-focused HR, Safety & Administration Executive to support the continued growth and success of JJ Burke Car Sales and ARM Autobody.

The Role
The HR, Safety & Administration Executive will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Human Resources, Health & Safety, Payroll Administration and General Business Administration across JJ Burke Car Sales .
The successful candidate will ensure the business remains compliant with employment legislation, health and safety regulations, payroll requirements and company policies while supporting employee engagement, recruitment, training and operational excellence.
This is a varied and fast-paced role requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, discretion and the ability to build positive relationships throughout the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources
- Maintain and manage employee records, contracts and HR systems.
- Coordinate recruitment activities including advertising, screening, interview scheduling, reference checking and onboarding.
- Prepare employment contracts, offer letters and employee documentation.
- Manage employee probation reviews and performance review administration.
- Monitor annual leave, absences and employee records.
- Support managers with employee relations matters and HR best practice.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with Irish employment legislation.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes.
- Support disciplinary, grievance and investigation processes when required.
- Assist with workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
Health & Safety
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the company Health & Safety Management System.
- Maintain safety records, risk assessments and safety documentation.
- Coordinate health and safety training and maintain training records.
- Conduct workplace inspections and support audits.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and maintain appropriate records.
- Monitor corrective actions and follow-up activities.
- Coordinate first aid, fire safety and emergency response procedures.
- Support the promotion of a positive safety culture across all departments.
Payroll Administration
- Prepare and process payroll information accurately and within deadlines.
- Maintain employee payroll records including starters, leavers and amendments.
- Manage timesheets, attendance records and payroll queries.
- Liaise with payroll providers and finance teams as required.
- Ensure compliance with Revenue requirements and payroll legislation.
- Prepare reports relating to payroll, absenteeism and workforce costs.
- Support pension administration and employee benefit programmes.
Training & Development
- Coordinate employee training programmes and maintain training matrices.
- Manage manufacturer training records and certifications.
- Support career development and succession planning initiatives.
- Monitor mandatory compliance training completion.
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain company records, filing systems and employee documentation.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets and business correspondence.
- Support GDPR compliance and confidential record management.
- Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews.
- Support management with various administration and project activities.
- Ensure documentation and records are maintained to the highest standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve HR, safety and administrative processes.
- Participate in business improvement projects.
- Promote best practice across all areas of responsibility.
- Support the implementation of new systems and procedures.
Skills & Experience RequiredEssential
- Experience in an HR, Administration or Compliance role.
- Knowledge of Irish Employment Law and HR best practices.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and workplace compliance.
- Payroll administration experience.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Desirable
- Experience in Administrative role, with HR backround.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Experience managing compliance audits and training programmes.

- Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm
