SETU is committed to strengthening its leadership in renewable energy, marine innovation and the wider Blue Economy, supporting national sustainability goals and the development of Ireland’s coastal and offshore sectors. A Business Development Manager specialising in Marine is required to support the President, Chief Academic Officer and the Head of Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (Carlow) in advancing SETU’s strategic, research, programme and capital investment plans across Offshore Wind and the broader marine domain.
The Business Development Manager will play a central role in mapping SETU’s marine and offshore research strengths, identifying and securing large‑scale funding opportunities, philanthropic opportunities and shaping strategic collaborations both within and outside the university, including internationally. The role will require strong cross‑campus collaboration and extensive engagement with external stakeholders across industry, government, community and academic networks. The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in ensuring that SETU leverages its competencies and maximises opportunities to contribute not only to the Offshore Wind sector but to the wider marine and Blue Economy landscape in a holistic and integrated manner.
