Kavaleer Productions are currently hiring for a Background Artist to join their team.
We’re looking for a talented Background Artist to join our team on an exciting 2D animated series, working closely with the Art Director to establish and maintain the visual style of the show.
- Proven experience as a Background Artist on a 2D animated series
- Strong painting and colour skills – keen eye for composition and lighting
- Proficiency in Photoshop or equivalent digital painting tools
- Abilities to work in a range of styles and adapt to an established visual direction
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
- Experience on broadcast or streaming animated series
- Familiarity with Toon Boom Harmony
- Experience across both pre-production and production phases

Kavaleer Productions was founded in 2001 and over the past 20 years have forged a position as one of Ireland’s leading animation studios, having produced over a dozen TV shows for broadcasters such as BBC, Sky, Netflix and Nickelodeon. The studio launched three new shows in 2021 and is currently preparing production for “Adam Loves Adventure!” starring Virtual Hug hero, Adam King.
