Production Kitchen Assistant
Reports to: Supervising Chef
Basic job function:
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to start a career in a commercial dessert kitchen. This is not a bakery, so not relevant to bakers wanting to apply.
We are looking for an enthusiastic production assistant to join the team, with the opportunity to learn and develop from a host of trained and experienced Pastry Chefs.
You will be working closely with the team, supporting with production and packing of our products.
Helping to maintain a clean kitchen at all times.
Comply with HACCP and BRC quality and food safety standards.
Minimum requirements
- Fluency in English is a must both written and spoken.
- Must have Stamp 4 VISA if non EU citizen or a relevant work permit to allow full time work. Do not apply if you do not already have a work permit. We do not offer sponsorship.
- Must be already living in Ireland as interviews are in person.
- Must possess a positive professional attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively
Tasks/Responsibilities
- Packing finished food products
- Assisting chefs with food production
- Ensuring all products packed comply with the company quality standards
- Adhere to standard work practices and standard operating practices for all equipment in the kitchen
- Maintain HACCP and BRCGS food safety requirements in line with company procedures as set out by the Food Safety Manager
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is correctly used, cleaned and maintained
