The Role
We are seeking an experienced, high-caliber Senior Wait Staff / Floor Leaders to join our team at Sole Bar & Restaurant in Kilcock. This isn't just a role for taking orders; it’s a leadership position for a hospitality professional who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to shape a new venue's culture.
As a senior team member, you will be the driving force on the floor, mentoring junior staff and ensuring our customers receive an unforgettable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Mentor: Act as a role model for peers; proactively train, guide, and manage junior floor staff.
- Floor Management: Bring a wealth of knowledge to managing a busy restaurant floor smoothly, especially during peak hours.
- Service Excellence: Provide flawless customer service and handle guest inquiries or issues with grace and professionalism.
- Bar & Beverage: Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard.
- Operations & Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant bar and restaurant environment.
- Growth & Promotion: Assist with local sales, marketing tasks, bar promotions, and special events.
- Admin Support: Utilize basic Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for minor administrative or scheduling tasks.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a busy Bar / Restaurant environment.
- Leadership: Previous experience managing, supervising, or training team members is essential.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a new venture/start-up environment where agility and positivity are key.
- Communication: Fluent English (spoken, written, and comprehension) with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and wine pairings.
- Resilience: Ability to work well under pressure, stand for long periods (physical role), and maintain strict attention to detail.
