All our carers receive training in Manual Handling, First Aid, and CPR to ensure safe, professional, and reliable support.
The Role
We’re looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated Health Care Assistants to join our growing team in the areas of County Kildare, Co Dublin, and County Wicklow.
In this role, you’ll provide personal care and companionship to clients, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain their comfort, dignity, and independence in their own homes.

What You’ll Do
- Provide all aspects of personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, continence care, and grooming in accordance with each client’s Care Plan.
- Prompt medication as per the Care Plan and collect prescriptions from the pharmacy when required.
- Observe health, dietary intake, and fluid consumption; report concerns promptly to the line manager or office.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Support with light housekeeping, laundry, cleaning, and shopping.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and meaningful social interaction.
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ general health and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date care records and documentation.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by Homecare Solutions as needed.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate mobility aids, helping clients move safely around their home or transition to/from bed or chairs.

- A caring, kind, and compassionate nature.
- Patience, trustworthiness, and excellent communication skills (fluent English essential).
- A full driving licence and access to a car.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering person-centred care
· QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (or working towards it) — minimum requirement:
- QQI Level 5 Care of the Older Person and Care Skills
- Assistance with obtaining QQI qualification available
