MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To ensure that the area of the workstation on which you are working is running correctly and safely during each night shift. You will be on-hand to assist in the general shift activities within the Manufacturing and Kiln facility. This will include but not limited to setting the production lines, monitoring the line, adjusting the line as required, stacking material and packaging.
MAIN TASKS OF THE JOB:
HEALTH & SAFETY
Always work in a safe manner and adhering to Health & Safety procedures.
Report all near-hits and accidents to the Team Leader and/or Operations Manager or designed person.
Ensure that the area of the workstation you are operating is done so efficiently, with particular attention paid to cleanliness, quality and Health & Safety standards.
QUALITY
Ensure that the area of the workstation on which you are working is running correctly.
Make sure that the area that you are setting i.e. paint line, sanding machine, cross-cut saws, shrink wrappers or any other machine you have been trained on is done to the required standard.
Regularly check finished goods for the desired quality and finish to agreed standards, reporting any defect immediately to the Team Leader, Shift Leader and/or Operations Manager
Ensure that the product is stacked, packaged and labelled correctly and within agreed specifications.
Ensure accurate completion of all relevant paperwork.
PERSONAL / ENVIRONMENT
To be available for training as required.
Provide assistance to all personnel in their daily tasks.
Contributing as part of the team in achieving maximum efficiencies in line with OEE targets.
Assist in the general upkeep and housekeeping of all areas on site including all internal and external areas.
Assist in the upkeep of the canteen/bathroom area.
Fully utilize all consumable materials (eg sanding brushes, cardboard, packaging materials) ensuring that maximum usage is gained.
Provide cover for other functions during break or holiday times.
Take all reasonable steps to reduce the levels of carbon emission by ensuring that all aspects of energy usage are formally controlled
