What You Will Do:
- Lead and supervise HV/MV site teams including HV Jointers, Electricians, Apprentices, Maintenance Crews, Commissioners and Installers.
- Be present on site to coordinate work, resolve issues, and ensure safe and efficient delivery. Hands on field work and problem solving.
- Carry out SAP duties, including HV switching, isolations, permitting, and working on live HV networks.
- Work closely with our Operations Manager to plan site activities and resources.
- Manage subcontractors such as cable installers, riggers, and electrical contractors.
- Set daily and weekly work scopes, allocate tasks, and monitor progress against programme.
- Oversee project delivery from purchase order through to commissioning and handover.
- Liaise directly with clients and attend daily/weekly site and progress meetings.
- Ensure full compliance with HV Safety Rules, statutory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Work closely with the Health & Safety Officer to maintain a strong safety-first culture on site.
What You Will Need:
- Minimum 5 years HV/MV site-based project experience.
- Strong practical background in HV/MV switching, jointing, testing and switchgear assembly.
- Senior Authorised Person (SAP) experience essential.
- Proven experience leading site crews and subcontractors.
- Excellent knowledge of HV safety rules and safe systems of work.
- Ability to lead from the front and make sound decisions on site.
