We’re looking for a Bakery Production Assistant to join our busy team at Sunstreet Foods in Tuam.
No previous bakery experience is required. We’re looking for someone reliable, hardworking and organised who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is happy to work as part of a busy team. Full training will be provided.
This is a varied role supporting our bakers with day-to-day production while also helping to keep the bakery clean, organised and running smoothly.
The role will include:
- Weighing and preparing ingredients
- Preparing fillings, toppings and other components
- Portioning, shaping and finishing bakery products
- Setting up trays and ingredients for production
- Assisting the bakers throughout production
- Packing and labelling finished products
- Following recipes and production sheets accurately
- Washing equipment, trays and utensils
- Daily cleaning of work areas, equipment and production areas
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
- General bakery duties as required
We produce in volume, so this is a busy, hands-on and physical role. We’re looking for someone who can work at a good pace, has good attention to detail and is willing to get stuck in wherever needed.
There will be plenty of opportunity to learn new skills and develop within the bakery for someone who is interested.
Daytime hours – no evening work. Some Saturday work may be required depending on our production schedule.
Pay: €14.15–€16.00 per hour, depending on experience
