We are currently recruiting for a Panel Room Operator to join our Production team at our Feed Mill in Monaghan.
This is a varied role combining computer-based control of the production process with practical, hands-on duties on the mill floor. You will play an important role in ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Schedule
The position operates on a rotating shift pattern of three consecutive 11-hour shifts per week.
Work schedule includes days and nights:
- 7:00am – 7:00pm
- 7:00pm – 7:00am
3 Day Shifts → 3 Night Shifts → Repeat
The shift pattern also includes weekends.
There is no Sunday day shift; the Sunday night shift starts at 7:00pm.
Pay:
Typical earnings of €20+ per hour, based on the normal shift pattern and applicable shift premiums and bonuses.
Your overall pay package includes:
- Basic hourly rate
- Attendance and Timekeeping Bonus
- Additional night shift premium
- Sunday night shift every 4 weeks – paid at double the basic rate + night shift premium
- Overtime paid at 1.5 times the basic rate
- Bank Holiday hours paid at double the basic rate
- Opportunity to increase overall earnings through additional overtime

Annual Leave
- 4 weeks per year (12 days)
The Role
As a Panel Room Operator, you will:
- Operate and monitor computer systems that control the feed production process
- Ensure the production process runs safely, efficiently and consistently
- Monitor equipment and production processes and respond to issues as they arise
- Carry out routine process and quality checks
- Inspect machinery and equipment
- Clear blockages and reset equipment when required
- Add feed minerals as required
- Maintain a clean, safe and efficient working environment
- Follow all quality, health and safety procedures at all times
The role is approximately 70% computer / desk-based and 30% hands-on, so you'll need to be comfortable working in both environments.

Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment would be an advantage. Full on-the-job training will be provided.
