TJ O'Mahony, Cahir, Cahir Business Park, Cahir, Co Tipperary, E21 YF84, part of Home Project Centre Sales Ltd., Irelands' leading Builders Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, is looking for a full-time Permanent, Stock Controller to join our Team
Duties and Responsibilities:
Purchase Ordering
-
Raising Purchase orders for branch stock whilst maintaining and monitoring stock levels in line with targets set out.

Dealing with supplier invoice queries in relation to the Purchase Orders raised for the branch.

Liaising with agreed suppliers in relation to excess/dormant stocks

Dealing with stocks for return to supplier, ensuing all returns are processed in line with. HPC Group Policy and ensuring that credits due from suppliers are obtained.
Goods Inwards

Ensuring all Goods Inwards processes are followed in line with Group Policy

Booking stock received on to the company stock system as per Group Policy

Notifying suppliers of any shortages/damages on delivery, ensuring that any damaged goods are returned to supplier and credits issued by supplier
Stock Control

Investigating and addressing Negative stocks on a daily basis

Implementing and carrying out cyclical stock count schedule

Investigating any variances from cyclical counts and reporting to the Branch Manager & Group Stock Manager

Analysing the weekly stock adjustments for the branch and reporting all variances to the Group Stock Manager

Maintaining and monitoring Special Orders
Control of Inter Branch Transfers

Ensuring that all monthly cut-offs in relation to stocks are complete by the last day of each month

Ensuring all stock is stored in line with best practice for Health & Safety and to minimise potential damages

Reducing excess stock & dormant stock in the branch

Analysing the Monthly stock report and working with the relevant branch personnel to ensure that all points highlighted on the report are actioned

Monitoring an addressing the branch accruals
Skills and Requirements:
Strong attention to detail.
Experience in a similar role.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Team player.
Relevant building materials knowledge an advantage.
