Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen during service.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept tidy and organized.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with the restaurant's procedures.
- Support the kitchen team during service by assisting with the delivery of food to the chefs and maintaining stock levels of kitchen supplies.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
