As a Sauna Host, you'll be the welcoming face of The Spring Saunas — guiding guests through their sauna and cold plunge sessions, maintaining our facilities and grounds, and helping create the calm, restorative atmosphere we're known for. This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys being outdoors and takes pride in looking after a beautiful space.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, check them in, and guide them through their sauna and cold plunge experience, including safety guidance for first-timers
- Manage the daily setup and operation of the sauna (firing and maintaining the wood-burning stove, monitoring temperatures, timings between sessions)
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the sauna, changing areas, plunge pool, and surrounding outdoor space
- Help maintain and improve the grounds and gardens — tidying pathways, tending to planting beds, and generally keeping our outdoor setting looking its best
- Manage bookings, walk-ins, and timekeeping between sessions to keep the schedule running smoothly
- Respond to guest questions, handle minor issues calmly, and ensure every visitor leaves feeling looked after
- Restock supplies (managing firewood) and flag maintenance needs to management
- Support occasional events, private bookings, and group sessions (evening and weekend slots)
About You
- Warm, friendly, and genuinely people-focused — comfortable chatting with guests and making them feel at ease
- Reliable, calm under pressure, and happy working independently outdoors in all weather
- Practical and hands-on, with an eye for detail and pride in keeping a space tidy and well-presented
- Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting firewood, light outdoor maintenance, cleaning)
- An interest in or experience with gardening is a real plus — much of what makes our setting special is the grounds around it, and we'd love someone who enjoys keeping that side of things thriving too
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings
- An interest in wellness, sauna culture, or cold-water therapy is a bonus, but a willingness to learn is what matters most
Pay: €13.50-€19.50 per hour
