Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Schedule: Day shift only - no shift work
The role
Due to continued growth, Seamless Aluminium Group is expanding its Fabrication Department and is looking for a motivated Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team.
The position is based at our 80,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in South Donegal. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for someone seeking stable employment and the chance to build a long-term career with an established Irish manufacturer.
We welcome applications from experienced fabricators as well as candidates with relevant engineering or manufacturing experience who are interested in developing their fabrication skills. Full training will be provided.
Main responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Manufacturing bespoke aluminium products to the required measurements and specifications
- Cutting, folding and forming sheet aluminium using fabrication machinery
- Working from bespoke product drawings
- Measuring and checking finished components for accuracy and quality
- Following production instructions and completing work within agreed timescales
- Handling materials carefully to protect the finished surface
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Keeping your work area and machinery clean and organised
- Working closely with supervisors and other members of the production team
Experience and skills
Experience in sheet metal fabrication, engineering or manufacturing would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
The successful candidate should:
- Be reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work
- Have good practical and measurement skills
- Be able to follow instructions and work safely
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Have good attention to detail
- Be willing to undertake training on fabrication machinery
- Have experience working from engineering or product drawings, or an interest in developing this skill
