The Role:
Senior Accounts Assistant
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accounts Assistant will be involved in all aspects of the Finance function including Bookkeeping and Ledgers, Bank Reconciliations, Accounts Payable reconciliation and payments, Monthly Management accounts, VAT Returns, Payroll, ROS filing, Sales Invoice calculation & month end Revenue Reporting, reviewing daily till reconciliations and Credit Control.

Carey Tools, based in Doughcloyne Industrial Estate, Wilton Cork City, offers tools and equipment for construction, engineering, and DIY projects. Revenue is predominantly generated through sales of new products, with the company also deriving income from the hire of equipment & sale of ex-hire products together with a wholesale division.
Over its 65 years in operation, the company has developed an excellent reputation, with very high brand name recognition in Cork and Munster. This has resulted in a diverse customer base comprising leading organisations from the construction and engineering sectors, wholesalers, and private individuals / tradespeople.
Key Requirements:
Part Qualified Accountant with an Irish recognised accounting association or a Qualified Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI).
Previous experience with an SME in a finance or accounts role (min 3 years preferred).
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, numerical accuracy and discretion with handling confidential data.
Proficiency in modern accounting software and Excel (pivot tables and vlookup experience an advantage).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills with fluent English and a proactive attitude.
Gradually take full ownership of ledger management responsibilities .
Willingness to learn and grow into a more senior finance role.
Pay: €45,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
