Job description
Experienced part time baker required for the night shift at an artisan bakery.
Responsibilities:
- Bake a range of artisan breads, including sourdough, baguettes, and specialty loaves.
- Finish pastries and viennoiserie after baking, including glazing, decorating, filling, and icing as required.
- Prepare products for wholesale and retail orders, ensuring they are accurately packed, labelled, and ready for dispatch.
- Follow production schedules to ensure all products are completed on time.
- Monitor baking times and product quality throughout each shift.
- Assist with dough preparation, scaling, and other production tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and food-safe work environment.
- Follow HACCP and food safety procedures at all times.
- Work closely with the bakery team to ensure smooth overnight production.
Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience working as a baker, pastry chef, or in a commercial bakery.
- Experience baking artisan bread and/or viennoiserie is preferred.
- Good knowledge of bakery equipment, including deck ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts.
Pay: €15.00 per hour
