Ashmore Homes is a design and build practice based in Trim, Co. Meath, delivering high-quality residential houses and apartment schemes across the region.
As our team expands, we are seeking an Architectural Technologist to work across the full project lifecycle — from concept design, through planning submission, to construction detailing.
This is not simply a drawing role. We need someone with construction knowledge already in place, who does not require training in the fundamentals, and who brings a genuine interest in technology — particularly AI — with an instinct for finding faster, smarter ways of working. We are not looking for a recent graduate, and we are not looking for someone settled into established habits, regardless of age or experience. Equally, this is not a pure technology role: construction judgement and design sense remain essential.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience designing residential houses and apartment schemes
- In-depth knowledge of current Irish Building and Planning Regulations
- A genuine enthusiasm for technology and AI, with an instinct for identifying where it can improve how we design, draw, and specify
- Strong technical ability in 3D modelling, detailing, and drawing preparation, with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Advanced, power-user proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit, with a genuine drive to explore new tools, plugins, and AI-assisted workflows for design, drawing, and specification
- Minimum 3 years' Revit experience
- 3–5 years' post-qualification experience across a range of residential project types
- Self-motivated, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
What we don't want
- A recent graduate or newly qualified candidate who would need to be taught construction fundamentals from scratch
- A candidate set in their ways, resistant to new tools or new methods of working, regardless of age or years of experience
- A pure "tech person" with strong software skills but limited feel for construction or residential design
