Experienced Café Assistant / Server
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Café Assistant/Server to join our small, dedicated team in our Café at Kilfane House.
Located within a peaceful retreat centre in a historic Georgian manor house in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, this is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing warm, attentive service.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the Tea Room
- Welcoming customers and providing friendly, professional service
- Taking orders and serving food and beverages
- Preparing and maintaining customer and service areas
- Following all food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures
- Communicating effectively with customers and colleagues
- Supporting the wider team as required
Requirements
- At least one to two years’ experience in a similar café, hospitality or food-service role
- Fluent spoken English
- A friendly, personable and customer-focused manner
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP standards
- Punctual, reliable, hardworking and trustworthy
- Ability to multitask and remain organised during busy periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Weekend availability
