Experienced Barista / Bakery Sales & Supervisor Position
We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Barista / Bakery Sales Assistant to join our friendly team in our lovely bakery in Galway.
This is a hands-on role that suits someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and is happy to take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the bakery.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Opening and closing the cafe.
- Preparing and serving high-quality coffee
- Serving customers and operating the till
- Restocking displays and keeping the shop well presented
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment
As part of the role, you will also:
- Manage stock levels and place orders
- Train and support new team members (Barista, HACCP)
- Ensure the bakery is well organised and running efficiently each day
- Lead by example and help create a positive atmosphere for both customers and colleagues
What we're looking for:
- Previous barista experience is essential, as the bakery can get very busy
- Good knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures (a certificate will be required).
- The ability to ensure that food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained
- A friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills
- A reliable, organised and responsible person who takes initiative
- A natural team leader who can take on the role of “captain” during busy shifts, keeping the team organised, communicating clearly and making sure everyone works efficiently together
- Someone who can lead by example, support colleagues and make quick, practical decisions to keep the day running smoothly
Start date: mid August
