A BNR Warehouse Operative is responsible for the efficient and safe movement, storage, and handling of goods within our warehouse – an essential role in our logistics chain covering shipping, receiving, and inventory control. You will report to the Warehouse Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and moving stock by hand, pallet truck, or forklift.
- Receiving and inspecting incoming deliveries, checking for damaged or missing items against paperwork.
- Storing goods in the correct locations, maintaining accurate stock records, and assisting with stocktakes.
- Picking, packing, wrapping, and labelling orders for dispatch, using scanners where required.
- Following health and safety procedures, carrying out daily equipment checks, and keeping the warehouse clean and tidy.
- Completing and processing all relevant paperwork and records accurately utilising Warehousing management scanning procedures and systems.
What We're Looking For
- Good physical fitness for lifting, warehouse activities and moving materials.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to manage workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic numeracy, literacy, and computer skills; comfortable using handheld scanners or warehouse management software.
- A forklift licence and/or Manual Handling Certificate is an advantage – training can be provided.
