Key Responsibilities:
As a Shop Assistant / Bookseller, your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers with book recommendations
- Operating the point of sale system and processing transactions with accuracy
- Managing cash drawer funds, paperwork, and completing closing procedures
- Maintaining a well-organized and inviting shop environment through merchandising
- Addressing customer queries and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
- Developing a deep knowledge of children's books to enhance customer service
- Managing stock, including receiving deliveries and conducting stocktakes
- Packing and processing online and wholesale orders
- Assisting with ad-hoc business requirements and events, as available
