We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pipelayer / Drainage Groundworker specializing in deep drainage for an immediate start on a busy construction projects across Dublin. You will be laying PVC and concrete pipes and installing manholes under the direct day-to-day instruction of the main contractor's site management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Laying, jointing, and bedding PVC and large-diameter concrete pipes for deep drainage systems.
- Setting up and building precast concrete manholes, including rings, slabs, and seating rings.
- Setting up pipe lasers, levels, and boning rods to ensure correct gradients and alignments.
- Working safely inside excavation trench boxes and shoring systems.
- Collaborating closely with the 360 excavator operator to install services and manholes efficiently.
- Following structural drawings and engineering plans accurately.
Requirements (Mandatory)
- Proven experience in deep drainage, PVC/concrete pipelaying, and manhole installation.
- Valid Solas Safe Pass card (Must be presented before starting).
- Valid Manual Handling Certificate (Current and up to date).
- Full personal protective equipment (Steel-toe boots, hi-vis vest, hard hat).
- Deep understanding of trench safety, manhole lifting operations, and ground support systems.
- Right to work in Ireland
