Afterschool club assistant is required to work mon to fri 1.30pm to 6.00 pm.
Breakfast Club hours also available
Duties include:
- The daily care of the Afterschool aged children.
- Planning and engaging in appropriate activities to facilitate the potential and development of each child
- Creating an environment that is both safe and exciting for the children.
- Working as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written with children, parents and staff alike
- Creating an inclusive environment.
- Following the Aistear curriculum and Siolta standards
- Adhering to and maintaining all company policies and procedures
Requirements for childcare practitioner
- Candidates must hold a minimum of FETAC level 5 qualification in Early years education or equivalent.
- Candidates must have a minimum of one-year experience working in the early years sector.
- Strong work ethic
- Be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
- Have good Health and Safety awareness
- Enthusiasm for role
- Be knowledgeable in Aistear and Siolta
- Have experience in planning and carrying out age appropriate curriculum
- Understand and follow TUSLA regulations
- Be naturally warm and respectful towards children and their needs
Pay: €17.00-€18.50 per hour
