We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to deliver innovative and complex projects within the Water and Wastewater sector, covering a diverse range of MEICA and civil engineering works.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement electrical solutions across multiple water and wastewater treatment projects
Support senior management in achieving contractual and project objectives
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, process, ICA, H&S, BIM, and design teams in a multidisciplinary environment
Provide technical and commercial input throughout project delivery
Oversee procurement of electrical equipment and ensure compliance with standards and policies
Manage subcontractors to ensure project alignment, quality, and timelines
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, safety, and compliance
Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders from project initiation to completion
Identify and resolve project risks related to scope, cost, schedule, and performance
Prepare project plans, define scope, goals, and deliverables
Monitor budgets, schedules, and quality standards throughout project lifecycle
Produce regular project progress reports highlighting milestones, risks, and mitigation measures
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
Contribute to financial performance and successful project delivery
Mentor junior engineers and support team development
Assist in improving company systems and engineering procedures
Requirements & Experience:
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience in water and wastewater industry in a similar role
Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, control, and automation in water treatment
Experience working in a project engineering or senior project engineering capacity
Knowledge of NEC4 contracts (desirable)
Strong project management skills and familiarity with relevant tools and methodologies
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability
Desirable:
Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership
Experience in MEICA project delivery environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Pay: €37,463.16-€85,360.40 per year
