The In-House Recruiter plays a key role in attracting, identifying, and securing high-quality candidates across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical positions.
Working closely with the Recruitment Manager, hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and the wider HR team, the post holder will manage recruitment activities throughout the candidate lifecycle, from sourcing and screening through to offer management and onboarding. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering an exceptional candidate experience, building strong talent pipelines, and contributing to continuous improvement in recruitment processes and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
Recruitment Operations
Support hiring managers and the Recruitment Manager in all aspects of the recruitment process.
Manage recruitment campaigns across a variety of clinical and non-clinical roles.
Review job requirements and develop effective sourcing strategies.
Track and manage vacancies using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
Screen applications and shortlist candidates against role requirements.
Conduct telephone and virtual screening interviews.
Coordinate interviews and assessment activities with hiring managers.
Progress candidates through the recruitment process in a timely and professional manner.
Support managers at every stage of the recruitment lifecycle.
Candidate Sourcing and Talent Pipelining
Develop and maintain proactive talent pipelines for current and future recruitment needs.
Source candidates through multiple channels, including job boards, referrals, social media, networking, and direct search.
Engage and nurture relationships with both active and passive candidates nationally and internationally.
Promote Beacon Hospital's employer brand to attract high-quality talent.
Stakeholder Management
Build effective working relationships with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and department leaders.
Partner with stakeholders to understand workforce requirements and develop recruitment plans aligned to business objectives.
Provide guidance and updates to managers throughout the recruitment process.
Ensure a positive and professional experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
Offer Management and Onboarding
Support the offer process, including approvals, salary discussions, and candidate negotiations.
Maintain accurate recruitment records and documentation.
Facilitate onboarding activities to ensure a seamless transition for successful candidates.
Ensure compliance with internal recruitment, vetting, and onboarding procedures.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, candidate attraction strategies, and operational efficiency.
Utilise recruitment metrics and market intelligence to support decision-making.
Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure consistent processes, standards, and best practices.
Provide cross-cover and support to colleagues as required.
Participate in HR and employee engagement initiatives and projects.
Person Specification
Experience
Essential
Minimum of 2 year's recruitment experience within an agency or in-house recruitment environment.
Experience managing multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
Experience using recruitment systems and candidate databases.
Desirable
Previous recruitment experience within a healthcare or hospital environment.
Experience sourcing candidates across both clinical and non-clinical disciplines.

Good understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing through to onboarding.

Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and market insights to support recruitment decisions.

Good knowledge of recruitment best practice and employment legislation.
Knowledge of healthcare recruitment practices would be advantageous.
