Part-Time Cleaning Operative – Commercial Shopping Centre
We are seeking a reliable and flexible Part-Time Cleaning Operative to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within a busy commercial shopping centre. Duties include general cleaning of public and staff areas, monitoring and maintaining public toilets, floor cleaning, emptying bins, perimeter and external cleaning, and cleaning communal office spaces.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for opening and closing the facility when required, reporting incidents or anti-social behaviour, and liaising with on-site security and management teams. Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve assisting the management team with additional duties as required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and maintaining public areas, toilets, floors, and office communal spaces
- Emptying bins and carrying out perimeter/external cleaning
- Monitoring site cleanliness and safety standards
- Reporting maintenance issues, incidents, and anti-social behaviour
- Liaising with security personnel and centre management, opening/closing facility on occasions
- Providing general support to the management team as needed
The ideal candidate will be dependable, proactive, have good communication skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Previous commercial cleaning experience is desirable.
