Trade Safety Ltd is a leading provider of confined space and working at height solutions across Ireland. We supply hire, sales, service, and training solutions to customers nationwide. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Delivery & Equipment Technician to join our team in Tullamore.
The Role
This role is much more than driving. As a Delivery & Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting specialist safety equipment at customer sites throughout Ireland.
You will work closely with customers to ensure equipment is delivered, set up correctly, and ready for use. The role involves regular travel, hands-on work with equipment, and providing a professional service that reflects the high standards of Trade Safety Ltd. You may also be required to provide basic equipment familiarisation and demonstrations to customers where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect safety equipment from customer sites nationwide
- Set up equipment on-site and ensure it is ready for use
- Carry out basic equipment checks prior to handover
- Provide basic equipment demonstrations and familiarisation to customers where required
- Ensure all equipment is safely loaded, secured, and transported
- Complete delivery, collection, and service documentation accurately
- Assist with equipment preparation and maintenance in the warehouse
- Maintain company vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition
- Provide excellent customer service and represent Trade Safety Ltd professionally at all times
Requirements
- Full, clean Irish Category B driving licence
- Strong practical and mechanical aptitude
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage daily schedules
- Reliable, organised, and professional approach to work
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
Desirable Qualifications
- Category BE (trailer) licence
- Experience working with safety, construction, or hire equipment
- Forklift licence
- Knowledge of confined space or working at height equipment
- Experience dealing directly with customers on-site
