Elecnor is seeking an experienced and versatile Cable Jointer to join our infrastructure projects in Ireland. In this role, you will perform a wide range of jointing and termination tasks on utility networks, ranging from low voltage (LV) live works to high voltage (HV) connections. We are looking for a safety-focused professional who can work both independently on technical tasks and collaboratively as part of a jointing team. A fluent level of English is requiered.
Key Responsibilities:
LV Jointing & Connections:
- Perform Low Voltage (LV) live and dead jointing, including mains and service jointing.
- Execute fuse and cut-out replacements under both live and dead conditions.
- Identify and safely execute the removal of illegal connections.
HV Jointing & Network Upgrades:
- Carry out High Voltage (HV) jointing and terminations up to 11kV (highly desirable).
- Work on HV new connections and network upgrades.
- Work with various cable types and technologies, including XLPE, EPR, and PILC joints, utilizing both heat and cold shrink terminations.
Testing, Diagnostics & Repairs:
- Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and subsequent network repairs.
- Perform LV testing and commissioning to ensure network integrity and safety.
Site Support, Safety & Collaboration:
- Assist jointing teams and act as a designated Safety Mate when required.
- Support with excavation, guarding, and general site setup.
- Assist with LV switching and the preparation of safety documents (where authorized).
Preferably have: Safe Pass, Manual Handling.
