Minimum Level 5 Qualification in Childcare is Essential
- Provide high-quality care including feeding, nappy changing, toileting, nap supervision, and engaging children in play and activities that support their overall development
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and carry out observations under the guidance of the Room Leader
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are organised and stored appropriately
- Demonstrate knowledge of Aistear and Síolta with the ability to implement both in practice, and support compliance with Tusla inspections
- Follow all policies, procedures, and child protection guidelines, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicate well with children, parents, and colleagues, and attend training and meetings as required
- Warm, caring, and reliable with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good knowledge of childcare legislation and regulations
