Job Summary:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Electrical Supervisor is a key resource for onsite supervision of team members and sub contractors.
Responsibilities:
· Carry out pre-construction site visits, surveys and readiness checks, including confirming civil works handover from the Client/contractor prior to commencement of ESL works.
· Receive and review full handover of scope, specifications and labour budgets from the Project Manager, raising queries where required and communicating requirements clearly to the site team.
· Coordinate with the Project Manager on daily and weekly programmes, scheduling, manpower, materials, plant and equipment requirements to support efficient site delivery.
· Manage multiple live projects simultaneously, adapting priorities to meet daily site requirements and project deadlines.
· Supervise and support site teams, ensuring accountability for daily works, productivity, quality of workmanship and adherence to agreed scope.
· Provide technical support to the site team, resolving on-site queries, issues and practical challenges as they arise.
· Liaise with Client/contractor supervisors, leads and relevant stakeholders to coordinate site activities and ensure works progress smoothly and efficiently.
· Carry out cable measurements, site walkdowns and progress checks with the Client/contractor during works and at completion.
· Maintain accurate site records, including red-line mark-ups, daywork sheets for variations, additional works or delays, and handover information for the Project Manager and O&M file.
· Ensure works are fully tested and inspected in line with quality requirements, with complete test records prepared for handover to the Project Manager.
· Ensure the highest safety standards are maintained on site and that all works are carried out in compliance with company procedures, site requirements and relevant health and safety standards.
· Promote a positive, team-based culture by building effective working relationships within site crews and supporting collaboration across the wider project team.
· Lead by example and act as an ambassador for the company values, promoting these standards through daily behaviours, decision-making and interactions with colleagues, clients and contractors.

FETAC Level 6 Electrical Trade Qualification
QC Testing and Inspection
First Aid Training
IOSH Managing Safely
Certifications:
Safe Pass, Manual Handling
IPAF/MEWP, LUGS, Abrasive Wheels, SSSTS desirable
Experience:
Ideally will have experience in Public Lighting, with knowledge of PL systems, standards and procedures. Experience in managing site based crews with day to day man management. Will have worked in a fast paced environment with proven track record in managing projects from inception to completion. Experience in using computer based systems
Required Skills & Competencies:
Supervisory & Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and supervise electricians and site teams, assign tasks, monitor work progress and quality, and support accountability for daily site performance.
Planning & Organisation: Ability to plan daily work activities, allocate manpower, and ensure materials, tools, drawings and other resources are available to support efficient site delivery.
Communication & Coordination: Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, supervisors, site management, clients, contractors and other trades, and to report progress, issues and manpower requirements clearly.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve on-site technical, operational and safety issues in a practical and timely manner.
Technical Electrical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, panels, circuits, LV systems including lighting, power, grounding, earthing and containment, with the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and layouts.
Installation, Testing & Troubleshooting: Hands-on experience with installation, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance, including the effective use of tools, instruments and testing equipment such as multimeters and insulation testers.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management: Strong awareness of electrical safety practices, risk assessments, electrical codes and safety standards, with the ability to ensure compliance with HSQE policies, method statements, JSSPs and permits, and to identify hazards and implement safe working practices.
