Main purpose of this role
Garlanna Ltd, Ireland’s leading Greeting Card Company are looking are looking for a professional and enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to join our team. The role is a support role within our Packing and Warehouse Team.
Title: Warehouse Operative
Hours: Monday – Thursday 09.00am – 5.30pm, Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Job Specification
- Unload and check in deliveries
- Checking, counting and putting away of stock
- Allocating stock correctly in the warehouse, replenish depleting stock
- Organising stock within our warehouse
- Identify and remove damaged stock
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Production duties - assembling products
- Ad hoc warehouse duties
- Ensure safe and efficient handling of goods
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
The successful candidate must be
- Flexible and have a positive attitude to their job and work environment
- Self-confident & ability to use own initiative and work independently
- Accuracy and speed of performance very important
- Very strong attention to detail
- Ability to count
- General housekeeping of warehouse and yard
- Strong work ethic
- Efficient & reliable
- Computer literate an advantage but not essential
- Forklift driving certificate an advantage but not essential
- Previous warehouse operative / order picking experience is an advantage
- To take direction from management and report issues as they arise
