Churchfield Home Services is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO), supporting the delivery of retrofit projects across the Galway and South Mayo Region.
This is a structured development role designed for an early-career candidate looking to progress into full Project Management. You will work closely with senior Project Managers, supporting the coordination and delivery of projects from mobilisation through to completion.
You will assist in ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time, and to the required quality standards, while developing your technical, commercial, and leadership capability within a structured environment.
What You’ll Do
Project Delivery Support
- Support Project Managers in coordinating projects from mobilisation to completion
- Assist with pre-start reviews (PSD, RAMS, scope, materials)
- Attend site visits and support in-progress and completion inspections
- Track project progress and support snag resolution
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Support delivery of works in line with SEAI, NSAI S.R. 54:2014, and CHS standards
- Assist in monitoring quality performance and documentation
- Ensure RAMS, site safety, and compliance requirements are followed
- Escalate any safety, quality, or environmental concerns
Commercial & Programme Support
- Assist with labour coordination, productivity tracking, and material planning
- Support monitoring of project timelines and milestones
- Identify risks to delivery and escalate to senior PMs
- Assist with project reporting and cost tracking
Team & Site Coordination
- Work closely with Supervisors and site teams to support daily operations
- Support coordination between crews, suppliers, and internal teams
- Assist in maintaining performance, attendance, and productivity standards
Customer & Stakeholder Support
- Maintain professional communication with homeowners onsite
- Support coordination between internal departments
- Contribute to positive customer experience across projects
What You’ll Need
- Previous experience in construction, retrofit, or building services (site-based or coordination role preferred)
- A recognised trade qualification (e.g. Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing), or relevant hands-on construction experience
- Developing understanding of residential construction and retrofit measures (EWI, IWI, heating, ventilation, solar PV)
- Exposure to site teams, Supervisors, or subcontractors
- Basic understanding of health & safety and RAMS implementation
- Commercial awareness (developing), with an interest in cost and productivity management
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident using digital systems for tracking and reporting
- Safe Pass & Manual Handling
- Full Category B driving licence
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
