The 5* Glenlo Abbey Hotel, Galway (part of the MHL Hotel Collection) is currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter.
Main Purpose of the Job: To assist Management to ensure that our Kitchen and back of house areas are maintained to a high level of cleanliness.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide an excellent back-up service to the Kitchen team in order to ensure that customer’s orders are served in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the kitchen area is constantly maintained to a high level of cleanliness at all times.
- Ensure that all storage areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Ensure that all food processing equipment is cleaned thoroughly as required.
- Adhere to all cleaning schedules and complete all paperwork associated with the recording of all cleaning.
- Adhere to all principles of Food Hygiene and HACCP.
- Cleaning of all staff areas including locker rooms, toilets and staff dining area as required.
- Ensure that a complete handover is done with the on-coming shift and that any checklists, reports and tasks have been completed.
