Full-Time Swimming Pool Manager
We are looking for an organised, motivated and hands-on Swimming Pool Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.
This is a varied role that involves overseeing the day-to-day operation of the swimming pool, managing the lifeguard team, organising swimming programmes and supporting the wider facility. The successful candidate will be confident working with staff and customers and will be comfortable getting involved wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the swimming pool and ensure it runs safely and efficiently.
- Organise and manage lifeguard rotas, ensuring appropriate pool coverage at all times.
- Supervise and support lifeguards and swimming instructors.
- Organise and run our children's swimming lesson programme, including class timetables, levels and progression.
- Coordinate and deliver school swimming lessons and liaise with local schools.
- Organise and deliver one-to-one/private swimming lessons.
- Teach swimming lessons where required.
- Ensure appropriate lifeguard cover is in place for swimming lessons and other pool activities.
- Monitor pool safety and ensure all relevant procedures and policies are followed.
- Assist with staff training and maintaining high standards across the pool team.
- Deal with customer queries relating to swimming lessons, bookings and general pool use.
- Cover the reception desk when required, including answering customer queries, taking bookings and providing excellent customer service.
- Help promote swimming lessons, courses and other pool programmes.
- Work closely with the wider management team to ensure the facility operates smoothly.
- Assist with general operational duties as required.

- Passionate about swimming and delivering a high-quality swimming programme.
- Able to remain calm and organised in a busy leisure environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience working within a swimming pool, leisure centre or similar environment would be highly desirable.
A recognised lifeguard qualification is required, and a recognised swimming teaching qualification would be a strong advantage.
Previous experience organising swimming lessons, managing staff rotas.
