Food Production Assistant – Baking & Catering

We are looking for a Food Production Assistant to join our busy kitchen team in our Carrigaline Store
This is a hands-on food preparation role with a strong focus on baking. You will be responsible for making our cakes, brownies and range of tray bakes using our recipes, as well as helping with salads, fresh food preparation and catering orders.
You do not need to be a qualified chef. We are happy to teach the right person our recipes and processes. What is most important to us is a genuine interest in food, a good work ethic and a positive, reliable attitude.
The role will include:
- Baking cakes, brownies and tray bakes to our recipes
- Preparing salads and other fresh food
- Helping prepare and organise catering orders
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods
- General food preparation
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and food-safe
- Working efficiently as part of a small, busy team
What we're looking for:

- Comfortable working independently once trained
- Happy to help wherever needed during busy periods

Previous experience in a bakery, café, deli, kitchen or food production environment would be an advantage, but formal chef qualifications are not required.
For us, the right attitude, reliability and interest in food are more important than qualifications. Full training on our recipes and way of working will be provided.
This is a Monday-to-Friday daytime position based in Carrigaline and would suit someone who enjoys baking and food preparation and is looking to become a reliable, long-term member of a busy kitchen team.
