Seasonal HGV Driver (7-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Corbally, Caher, Co. Clare
James Collins is seeking a reliable and professional Seasonal HGV Driver to join our team on a 7-month fixed-term contract from 1 September 2026 to 31 March 2027.
We provide nationwide book fair distribution services on behalf of Scholastic, delivering and collecting book fairs to primary and secondary schools throughout Ireland.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role with no overnight stays, offering an excellent work-life balance and a minimum of five weeks' paid leave during the contract, scheduled around school holiday periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a company HGV safely throughout Ireland.
- Deliver and collect book fairs from schools nationwide.
- Load and unload books and display equipment.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
- Assist with warehouse duties when required.
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when visiting schools and customers.
- Comply with all road traffic legislation and company procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Full Category C or CE Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good level of physical fitness for loading and unloading duties.
- Legal entitlement to work in Ireland.
