Seeking a motivated, full time dairy farm assistant to join our farm in Dromniycarra, Fedamore, Limerick. The successful candidate will play an active role in daily management and operations of our modern dairy farm.
This is a permanent position.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Milking operations, assist with daily milkings and maintaining high standards of milk hygiene and equipment sterilization
Animal husbandry, monitor herd health and identify signs of illness and assist with calving
Farm maintenance, maintain clean yards, preserve boundary fencing
Machine operations, safely operate farm machinery and tractors for daily feeding and general farm tasks
1-2 years practical experience in livestock or dairy farming preferred
Strong animal handling abilities, focus on animal welfare and clear communication skills
Hours per week: 39
